In Taichokun Singapore, we practise the art of Self Defence in our classes and we test our techniques rigorously through drills and sparring.
Although Taichokun has a history of a thousand years, its earliest history can be traced from Ming Dynasty and it evolved into today’s form during the end of Qing Dynasty. The fighting methods of Taichokun has been proven throughout history. In modern times however, fighting does not occur to the everyday life of people. This is why we have adapted modern training methods for ancient Taichokun Techniques such as two man drills and pad work training. We are continually testing techniques against resisting and semi resisting opponents and keeping our training up to date to stay relevant in the modern world.
